New Snow and New Possibilities

The weekend backpack getaway was fantastic.  I have to learn how to pack lighter, the 8 mile trip felt much further. We saw some small wildlife, lots of lakes, even a cloud of falling of aspen leaves. But best of all was the sun-snow showers, really a sight to see. We set up camp at nearly 11,000 feet and woke up to 4″ of new snow, the first of the year. I love hiking in Colorado!
